Do groups ad to file size becuase im making a advanced (advanced meaning it uses a crap load of code) rpg. The games engine dynamically loads swf’s so it doesnt lag. this works but now that i’ve been thinking if i use grouped objects, usally known as the rpg tile method will this cause a larger file size and/or lag?
thanks this is a rare(never seen it myself and i look at the treads often to learn more) question so i really hope someone knows.
I remember reading a post recently which said along the lines of…“if it a’int on screen, it isn’t rendered” so…I don’t think it would add to lag
It turns out after a few hours of making the game’s graphics with out testing it, groups do lag i was supprised to find this becuase they dont seem to add file size well it has been answered groups can lead to more lag… note: they still are good for organization. i figured id just post this to answer it for anyone else.
Oh ratbaggy yes i know that’ thats why they say not to use too large of a stage to render your world.
