Do you use a graphic pen/pad?

Does anyone use computer pen and pads? I was thinking of getting one, so i can draw on photoshop but these things are a bit expensive for what I want. Some are up to 800$. All I want really is a basic pad that you can draw on. Cheap and efficent. Any suggestions? o.o Id rather try not to spend over 100$ on one. Just doesnt seem worth some of the extravagant prices that some go for. I could be wrong though lol.
