Does anybody know how to do this?

You’d think?

But no, it only won second place. First place went to this site

http://www.designerdate.com/

If I had 5k, I would get Lightwave, Modo with Fprime and G2…Once you use Lightwave and Fprime you will never render anywhere else. Plus you will have like 2.5 to 3k left. So you can get another computer or buy a commuter car or what ever.

If I had 5k I would convert them all to pennies and store it in a large vault like the one in Treasures of the Lost Lamp.

buy a tripod and a camera…try QTVR or Flash to stitch photos together. It’s so simple with QTVR. See Ya

For interior renders? I’d go with 3dsmax and VRay. NOTHING comes close for photoreal rendering, particularly for architectural visualisations.

Yeah, but with VRay, you create four walls, a roof, a sun/sky, some skylight portals in the windows, tweak the render settings a little and hit Render… Photoreal  Well, almost. Having high-res models and realistic textures also helps.

I passionately hate 3dsmax, but VRay compensates for it
Now all I need is VRay for Cinema4D…

Mug website makes me drool. Sooo good.

will 5k get you a copy of max with vray these days? I havent checked the prices lately, so mabey i’m just out dated :). I rembeber back when maya cost 35 grand

What??? You didn’t happen to have a pet dinosaur and a friend neanderthal, did you?

Max 8 is US$3495, and VRay is US$799.

hello, i created designerdate with 3dmax and vray.
the motion blur is done with the rendering. also i double the frame count by using 100% alpha frame 1,
then 50% alpha frame2 over 100% alpha frame1
then 50% alpha frame3 over 100% alpha frame2

does this help?

Me too! Anyone know what that song is? (it seems more like a loop though…)

All of the 3d progs can eventually produce awesome renders. Some take more work and skill than others…, others have plugins that remove a lot of the hassel  just use what your most familiar with…

I use autoCAD for modelling, max for lighting and rendering. Then I also use maya for less architectural models, IK, and renders and all its “live” stuff. I’d assume all 3D progs could produce that level of render…its nothing “ground breaking” in terms of 3D work, although it is good
