When I look for a flash game, depending on how much time I have, I pick something with an estimated timeframe that I can handle. Usually, I play a game for a few minutes, and if I don’t like it, I switch to something else. If I do like a game, I try to find others like it.
When I buy a game at the store, I will usually try to find out more about it first (with out spoiling too much of the story), however, that’s only because I don’t want to waste good money on a game I’m paying for!
I have stumbled across several (read: far too many) sites which review and give one page descriptions of Flash games. Considering how most people would rather spend 3 minutes testing a game for themselves than reading a 3 minute review, primarily for a game that is free anyway, is there really anyone out there that reads flash game reviews? :h:
I could understand if a site had a quick (really quick) summary of a game, maybe basic controls that the game author forgot to mention, and a link to similar games if you liked this one, perhaps even a system for browsing games according to difficulty as well as timespan.
I might use a site like that, but I’m definitely not doing several minutes of reading for one free flash game…
On a related note, **there are far too many flash game portals out there! Ugh… **If only they would bring something unique to the world other than another list of games…
