Drawing layout

would flash be a good idea for drawing screen layouts? because for this site i’m trying to make, i needa make a layout or it’d be boring and everything so is flash a good idea? because i tried it and it seems very hard and seems sorta like paint in a way. what other programs should i use instead? thanks

I dunno any other programs but are you gonna draw the layout in flash or somewhere and make the webpage in html?
well you can make the drwaing in flash easier by adding grid.
view -> grid -> edit grid -> turn on show/snap to grid make the width and height 10pixels and make the color something good.
Now you can draw lines from one point to another and its really easy…

hi blah-de-blah,
i want to tell you that Flash is a poweful software to drawing your layout i hate it in first but once i know the most tools and nice tech. in drawing i loved it.
step by step and see any layout you love it and try to make it in flash… ***GO AHEAD *** C:-)

hmm thx maybe i’ll try it again to see if it really is that good :nerd:

Macromedia Fireworks I here is GREAT for making Flash Layouts because you can export your objects drawn in Fireworks directly into Flash or something along those lines.

I generally design my sites in Fireworks first, then export the entire .png to .swf, then everything is already a symbol, and all of my “revisions” have been saved as.gif and HTML (so I can get a feel for the rollovers, etc.), because I have already sliced and exported them…

Needless to say, I could do my job without Fireworks, but it would entail a lot more work, and 3 programs.

seriously, FW is a great prog, especially when working with Flash.

I actually like drawing in Flash for pretty much anything - screen layouts or just general artwork. So I’d say go ahead and give it a try. The only thing is that Flash doesn’t have the filters / effects that Photoshop does. But then since I don’t really use PS for my style of drawing it’s never bothered me too much.
