just do a search on google for dreamweaver extensions and resources you will get tons of results
what exactly are behaivors?
Good question…
It’s the term that Dreamweaver gives to JavaScripts and stuff, like mouseovers.
info-girl knows all… ay kit?
you hardly see alot of java appelets these day… or at least i dont anway…
I am a veritable fountain of information.
Basically there’s the behaviours panel on DWMX that holds all that kind of thing.
haha
i have dreamweaver 4 and it does the trick as far as im concerned… is there considerable difference?
Nicer interface (in my opinion, once you get used to the change), few more options… It’s designed to help people who don’t know what they’re doing get going, while those that do can just dive straight in.
Once you figure the best way to customise it for you, you’re sorted.
ah right
the big K prefers frontpage doesnt he?
i arent a fan of cos it feels really bulky and i hate bulky things…
I think that Kirupa started out on Frontpage, and probably knows it all inside out, back-to-front and standing on his head by now.
Personally, Frontpage and I have always had issues with each other, but that’s just me. I could never get it do quite what I wanted…
if i knew HTML good enough id just use notepad but theres a few years left before i get that good…
I started out with Notepad back in University in er… 1997? That was before HTML editors really took off. Plus the lecturer said it was better for us to learn from scratch first. Then whenever we went into an editor, we’d know what was going on.
Once I started using Dreamweaver 3, I discovered it was so much easier… I could still tweak the code by hand if I wanted, but didn’t have to go through all the hassle of hand-coding.
Certainly made things like frames a lot easier to build.
yeah that would of been the best way to learn… but i taught my self so im stuck with my brain (-:
Hehe… I only got taught the basics at University, figured the rest out for myself. Just takes practice really… Making pages just for the sake of it. Half the time they came out looking cringe-worthy, but there you go.
yeah im always making stuff for the sake of it… for no reason i have like 40 different sites ive made but they just live on my hard drive sitting there as relics of my learning curve
