How do you have dynamic text that is auto kern or is it not possible?

ERmm, nope. The Auto-Kern checkbox is disabled when using a dynamic textbox.

Is that rule the same with letter spacing because I can’t do that either with dynamic text and I need my scrolling text to be spaced farther apart to make it easier to read.
yea…dynamic text eliminates a few options, mainly the spacing and auto-kern options…
don’t know if there’s a way around it without changing it to static text…
ER: lost, I remember you posting an AS script for making a text box on the fly…wonder if you could load the content, and then use AS to build the text box with the autokern options (because then it’d be static within the movie)

Yes, you can create texboxes on the fly with Flash MX, but there is no auto-kern function in AS to allow me to auto-kern the text. Any spaces will have to be put in manually.
I don’t know too much on the subject, but I am pretty sure you can’t auto-kern :-\ (but who knows, maybe someone will stop by here and know a way)
