E3 Thread

E3 is the Electronic Entertainment Expo. It’s where all game developers, producers, magazine editors and so on show up to find out about the juicy sweet incoming of new games and console technologies. So this thread is officially for any interesting news you find out about what happened @ E3!

What I Know Nintendo DS is going to include the following features:

  • Dual Screens (Duh!)
  • Backwards Compatible to GBA and GB game
  • Up to 16 players can network together within 30 feet for multiplayer
  • Wi-Fi capabilities
  • Standard Headphone Jack :slight_smile:
  • Cartridge size is 1/2 that of a GBA game (easier to lose. lol)
  • PictoChat. Draw pictures with a stylus on the screen and send 'em around.
  • Touch screen of course!
  • Built in microphone

What I Know Sony PSP will include the following features:

  • All of the standar PS2 buttons (only 2 shoulder buttons) analog stick on the bottom.
  • 4.3 inch screen. (16:9 ratio movies look amazing)
  • USB 2.0 Allows PSP to hook up to your PS2, PC and other devices to come.
  • GPS system (not official yet)
  • UMD Discs used, Sony is trying to get UMD to be a universal media type.
  • Close to DVD Quality videos
  • Wi-Fi capabilities.
  • Brightness, Sound and wireless on/off switches
  • UMD can hold 1.8gb of information (pretty hefty)
