i want to have a movie clip animation that brings my interface onto the main time line… the interface comes form both the top and bottom of the main movie…
how would i create and then edit the movie clip so it fits just right on the screen?..
try this. Make a square that fills up the whole stage. Then Convert it into a symbol by selecting it and pressing F8. Then you want to “edit in place” you can do this by double cliking on the movie clip or rightclicking and chosing edit in place. You will be able to edit the movie clip and see where in the stage you are. You can delete the square layer and start building your animaiton there. Hope that made sense.

my orientation is off i guess. **
What? Your question seems to be one of how to make something? Explain a little bit better? Is this a design in Flash question? Or a quesiton of tweens versus AS?
actually that is a very common sense notion i had thought of, but i wanted to know if there was a nother way that it is normally done… thank you…
jubba,
it’s more of a design question… when i created a new movie clip and go to edit it i actually lose the visual representation of the border of my movie… thus… the question above…
i was wondering what techniques could be used to animate the interface (as described above) and make sure it “goes where it’s supposed to” when added to the main timeline…
