having problem embedding text that i have acquired. Want it to be viewable on other computers and it doesnt happen.
Worst of all if i do it apeears blurred font is real small i just want it nice and crisp and not antialiased but pixeld.
Can i not install it in directory somehow on my server? any ideas?
Also how do i get rid of symbols from text that dont have any designated characters like? or % cos i end up with a square.
Know they are silly easy question but would apreciate any input
Text will only be available automatically if people on the computers that are viewing it have that font installed - for this reason it is sensible to stick to the default fonts that everyone has. However, if you do want to use a different font - break it apart so that it is no longer editable text and is just a set of shapes and use it like that. Obviously then to change it you would have to go through the process of entering it and editing it every time, but since you will probably be using fancy text only on headers etc anyway that should be no problem.
Regarding text that has shapes in - I think those are put there so that people get an idea of what a font is like but have to pay for the full unblanked one. I guess to use a protected font like that you could just use it with the blanks and break it apart and then just edit your own letters using parts of the ones you do have - ie: the letter ‘h’ could be your letter ‘n’ with the top chopped off you could put the letter ‘a’ and ‘f’ together to make a letter ‘g’ etc. Hope this helps.
