If it were my forum and I kept seeing the same questions about a Tutorial ‘I Wrote’ , there seems to be issues. Fix the Tutorial !!!
I would like to see a ‘These Issues Are Fixed’ forum.
I know you can’t and probably won’t keep up on your forum’s posts, but if you did, you could mabey place “Final Fixes” in their respective places!..This would sure help the ‘search results’ too !!
Just a suggestion…And I would be glad to help on this forum !!
Suggestion: <b> Make a Resolved Issues Sestion</b>
Sure, I can understand that. But, it’s the same questions, over and over. There is obviously a problem with the tut! No…yes?
2 years ago I followed the same tutorial and have been using the same script this entire time. Works perfectly to this day!
Just saying that, every other post is about the ‘xml gallery’. So, common sense tells me to Fix It !!
Usually it’s not that the source or tutorial is faulty, but rather people try to modify or expand upon it and have questions doing so.
Yep, mostly that’s the case.
Plus for some users it’s easier to ask questions then putting some time into a search and reading/applying what others had to say about the same problem.
Though I honestly believe some don’t know that there is a search feature
People should search more, but now there are x amount of threads they see 100s of replies and can’t be bothered to read them…Its bad, but thats what happens I guess
Maybe its time for a new and improved XML gallery tut with lots of the common forums questions covered/implemented. I would offer, but my skills on XML need improving, the forum would have ten times more questions if I did a tut
An updated photo gallery tutorial is something that I really want to write again. Writing understandable tutorials takes time, and time is something I never have enough of
Well you know if this forum had a search feature maybe ppl would use it and search for the answer before posting  :smirk2:
But perhaps a link can be provided in the tutorial that links to threads that link back to the tutorials, that way it would provide them easy access to that elusive search feature.
