External sound.swf - acces volume

hi everybody,
looking through all the forums but can’t find a hint…

the problem:
into a console i will load a swf-movie with a sound into an empty mc.
there are three different sounds of which the user can choose.
how do i get access to the volume?

thanx for any help
jns

(sorry for the bad english)

you may want to give this tut a try. It has tons of good info about
sounds in flash:

hi unflux,
thanks for the info. due to the reason i am not embedding the sound in my flash(console)file i can’t give a linkage/identifie…
the soundfile will be in the same directory as the console.swf.
if you have any clue solving this problem i would appreciate further information…

thank you
jns

you’re saying that you have each sound in a frame of the movie clip? if so, i don’t think you can control the volume… you need to use the sound object instead :-\

you’ll find everything you need to know here: sound object tutorial by kenny bellew

ok. i studied it already, but once again…

when all is ready i will post the result…

thanks kax

p.s.
there are three soundfiles. each of them with one sound…

ok… good luck. =)
