(F)enomenon!

wow, so many people love me :D

ok, they’re not really putting the (F)'s because they love me…

but anyway, this is a first for me. never seen so many people putting similar things in their display names. just goes to show how easy it is to start a movement via the internet… :pa:

anyone else got a similar contact list at some point in time?

well, can you all remember the terrorist attack in madrid some time ago? everybody in my list had an X in front of their nick, and i think this is quite the same? the roses are for that school that was taken hostage in russia right?

back in the day after 9/11 my old counterstrike clan put USA in front of all our tags…that day and for several days after almost every american counterstrike player had USA and the state they were from in their player handle.

yep the (F) is for the russian school incident

(f)

Couple of guys from school and I once did the Matrix thing, don’t know if you’ve heard of it.

One guy starts off, with the msn name “Agent Smith”, saying “Mr.Anderson… Welcome back… WE’ve… Missed you… Now you are one of us (change your name to Agent Smith)” to some random guy. Then pretty quickly (in an hour or so), everyone’s msn list was Agent Smith. Pretty funny

you just blew my mind with that man. forgot how long its actually been, seems like yesterday.

indeed, but nevertheless how long it’s been, still a lot of respect for the victims & their families…

so it’s about respecting them…i see…i never really bothered about such things and wondered why people do it.

this global problem doesn’t bother you and you wonder why other people do?!? wtf man

no i mean well, not that i dont bother about the problems - i dont bother about putting the (f) in my display name because it’s not like it’s gonna do any good. sometimes i even find it hypocritical - some people dont really mean it and just do it because everyone’s in on it. (or to pick up girls, in some cases  )

woops, sorry, little misunderstanding going on here
now i totally agree, the (f) won’t bring any lives back, it’s just some - like you said - hypocritical thingy…

no one ever copies my MSN nicknames. But I have never seen people on my contact list adopt these respectful words either.

no problem :thumb:

Maybe they do it because they realise they can’t really change anything, but still want to do something, show some respect and (pretend?) they actually care. That’s why they add stuff to their names or forward messages trough msn… :sigh:
