I am having a problem with my preloader. I usually use a seperate scene to place my prealoder into, but components are loading in frame 1 delaying my preloader from apprearing. I have tried unchecking the export in frame one and the usual methods, but it has not helped. I have concluded that I need to make an external preloader to load first and then load an external swf.
This is obviously a common problem, but after a lot of searching i am suprised that i can not find a simple solution on how to do this. I am a beginner, so any advice will have to be extremely dumbed down. A generic piece of actionscript which I could place onto my external preloader would be most helpfull. Please be aware I am rubbish at actionscript but i will try my best to understand because i really am desperate for help. I would like to know how to do this successfully so I could aply it to all flash I use in the future, so something clean and generic would be great.
