Heya!
I have a movie clip that is a motion tween with a shape with fade…
Now I want to put this mc as a mask … and showing a part of an image with lot of this mc’s
I know that I have to use duplicate movie clip, but the mc as mask isn’t working 
any help ?
masks’ alpha property has no effect, as far as i know.
You would expect to be able to use a mask to do fading, but flash doesnt support it. another thing i tried was a donut shaped mask. It came out as a circle (the hole didnt show through).
There are other ways though. Put another copy of the background on top and fade that out instead of fading the image in.
