Fake mask plus

Hi members,

I wonder if anyone could help me with this effect which is similar to the dragable fake mask effect.

What I want to achieve is this:
When I drag the mask, I want the content that is revealed to stay on display as I move the mask to a bew location.
Is this possible?
I am referring to the fake mask tutorial because it is the closest in visual effect to what I want to achieve but I am not sure if that is the best starting point for where I want to get to.

Your advice is much appreciated.

Not sure I understand what you mean. And by the way, which version of Flash are you using?

Sorry, I am using Flash 5.
OK let me try to explain gain.
If two objects are hidden in the set up. A Plus sign on the right and a up pointing Arrow to the left.
When I drag the mask, I see Plus sign revealed.
As I drag left to see Arrow revealed, I want the Plus sign to remain displayed. Is that possible?
