FileRef crashing application

Hi everyone,
I’m running a fairly complex Projector file that access the internet (as well as local files). Everything works fine except when I call the browse and download functions. They application will freeze and I have to force quit the app. has anyone experienced an application freezing when browse is called?

so it turns out this is a problem specific to Leopard. It works just fine on Tiger. I hope that helps someone out there help me figure out this problem.
