I’ve created a couple of sites that have extended loading times. www.shoutbooking.com is 267kb and takes 30 secs to load on dsl! I’ve been to other sites that are the same size and they don’t take as long to load. another site: www.abstround.com/calebcainmarcus.com/index.htm
Each swf is at most 70kb. Most around 35-40kb, yet they each take 8-12 secs to load. Would anyone know a cause for these extended loading times? Both sites utlize loading components. Is there a known bug in flash components? Notice on the calebcainmarcus site that they very first preloader is different from the others, that one is not a component.
*note. I know that preloaders do not actually load the files, they tell the amount of time left, but could loader components, or something else, cause these files to drag during load?
