I was just mesin’ around n’ this is what I came up with!
It’s in 3ds max!
I was just wondering if it’s possible to make fire in Cinema 4d!
Of course there r millions of other ways to make fire in 3ds max but this is my favourite!:chinaman:
cool! how did oyu do this?! i saw a tut like this on 3D Cafe but never took it. can you tell me how you did this cause it looks so realistic! is it an explosion or what? tell me tell me tell me!
Pretty cool syko. 3DsMax seems to be the trend in D&D now I can’t follow it
Mdipi: I believe those are logs under it, so it is like a campfire.
hmm yeah that was the tut i saw…but hey lost, have no fear, start your own trend!

lol yeah tied to make some buring stuff but didn’t come out right!
well actually I think I took a tute on this a while ago!
I just used a pArray for the fire! and the fire-like color is just a material added to the particle system!
Gotta go now! I’ll see if I can find the tute somewhere!
it looks like it belongs in that game the sims… it looks good
alex, your right! never thought of that…

what? you mean there’s a same kind of fire in Sims??
donno, but it looks good enough to be in it
lol
btw I found the tutorial! i think this is the one I read! So anyways here it is:

[EDIT] It’s a great way to make a fire like this because winds, gravity …every spacewarp can do something with the fire! [EDIT EDIT] also you can add deflectors to it[/EDIT /EDIT] [/EDIT]
here it is with a deflector!
[It keeps the fire from going through the object]
sweet! thanks i will do this!
mdipi: Right-click on the toolbar and select Tab Pannel. Then find the helpers tab and select one of the three Atmospheric Gixmos. Place one of these in the scene, then go to Modify > Atmospheres Rollout, and add a Fire Effect.
