FireFox 3, thoughts?

It seems to act exactly the same as the last release candidate. :expressionless:

Pretty much yeah…

Although to be honest, it hasn’t hogged as much memory as it usually does on osx : )

You’re right, it doesn’t seem to use as much memory. Even on Windows.

Liking it so far, feels snappier than FF2 and the new UI is pretty neat. I’m also excited about the new “Awesome Bar”, should help out a great deal in my plentiful moments of “what the hell was that site again?”.

Can anyone confirm that the Remove All button in the password manager asks for confirmation now? I’ve had a bad experience with that in the past, and it’s just baffling to me how FF2 does not ask you for confirmation before deleting all of your stored passwords. Hopefully they fixed that now.

@voets: yup

Heh, my language settings were still messed up because of rc2, nothing a fresh install didn’t cure… bye bye bookmarks

Haha, is that for real? That looks like dutch, but it’s the most ridiculous and butchered dutch translation I’ve ever seen :stuck_out_tongue:

ok now my advanced reply doesn’t work, gawdammit

I think its some south african thing

– the language, that is

Oh right, makes sense - south african is essentially butchered dutch. Still funny to read ^^

Boekmerknutsbalk

:lol: Hahahahahaahhah - merk nuts

Dutch never stops looking weird to me. I’m a Swede, speak fluent German and lived for almost a year in Amsterdam… still looks really odd :lol:

I guess I should stick with FF2 for a little bit till they fix this issue. I like my “Go Advanced” feature :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyone notice the slightly different default font? looks… taller…

The one thing that bothered me in the RCs on my laptop in Ubuntu was that when you increased the text sized…it zoomed instead of actually increasing the text size heh…

Right-click > Save Image As

highlights the file extension as well – contrary to the philosophy of Leopard

man… i should switch to QA as my career
Anyone notice the slightly different default font? looks… taller…
Yep it’s 0.2em taller.

Thought so

I just submitted three bug reports to bugzilla,

 1. Maximize button in OS X does not freaking work.
 2. "Open With … " when downloading does not freaking work.
 3. “Save Page As” or “Save Image As” dialog box highlights the freaking file extension

Has anyone tried zooming in/out? It’s the only really useful new feature I’ve seen them implement.

Works fine

how do you do that?

os x has this built in, kind of a redundant feature for me

^Its the normal <ctrl/command>+<+/-> now.
