This is my first shot at anything which looks remotely grungy :p:
I threw it together in about 15 minutes, I’d like some honest comments…just don’t kill me, I’m fragile

don’t like the text font and text glow. And the text itself maybe…
Cool but sort of lacks a focal point.
Okay, I didn’t superlike the font either, I was going for one of those Handwritten esthetic kinda things like you often see around here, but didn’t find any good ones, so if anyone has a suggestion (without just handing me the URL to a font site) feel free to give it :thumb:
As for the text itself, you’d better ignore it, coz it’s kind of a … how do you say that… well, it’s for insiders :beam: Metaphoric for some stuff going on around here, so yeah, ignore the text :ne:
And what the pie is a focal point? :h:
a focal point is a particular spot in an image or painting that captures the eyes attention more than other spots of the image…
For example, the focal point on the Mona Lisa,would most likely be her eyes, or her face in general…
Why is mlk’s footer in the middle of your image? Doesn’t look very grungy…

Ha, mlk’s footer always appears in random places when I’m viewing threads he’s posted in. Maximize your window, refresh, then minimize if you want to and that should work. I think the footer gets loaded on your screen before say a big attachment like Thierro’s image is loaded and your window resized to fit it.

I honestly did not even realize there was a rose in there until you said something…
I think the appeal of grunge is to have it as an element in your design, not be the design itself.
I think if you brought the rose to the front, and made some of the grunge patterns a bit more subtle, you would improve the compostion greatly…
I’ve seen worse first-grunge-tries. That’s not bad at all for your first try. It’s pretty d*mn cool actually :thumb:. I prefer my grunge to be a little less not so sharp. Your grunge branches and leaves are extremely sharp. 2 styles in everything though :D.

No, not at all. You have a hell of a unique style. Those colors are great. Try looking around at some other peoples work for grunge samples. And google those grunge brushes.

I agree, it’s kinda sharp now that I think of it, but it was a first try anyways… And…I dunno if this is my first PS work…I don’t think so, coz that would be odd, but I can’t think of any others
