First website - Lots of questions

I’ve finished most of my first website, but I’m having lots of trouble tying up the loose ends! I’ve got a lot of questions, so please be patient. :}

Questions now!

  1. I can’t seem to get the images in my gallery to pop up correctly, even after trying the centered popup tutorial here on kirupa. Can anyone help or direct me to another tutorial?

2)Is there a way that I can keep the background elements(namely the stripes) from becoming skewed and crappy looking? It looks smooth on the original swf.

  1. Can I resize the background to fit the browser(without it looking squashed or stretched), or should I just not accomodate for the zillions of browser sizes out there?

  2. How do I keep the current link from re-loading the content in the box to the right(i.e., when you’re on the home page and you click “home” again, it plays the animation from that page over again)?

I’m open to all suggestions, but I really need help with this code! Also, please tell me if the parts that aren’t using device fonts(such as the menu buttons and names at the top of the content box) look nice and clear.
