Ok, its just about done, and I would like some feedback. Thanks to Kirupa and the great members here, I have learned a lot to make this site! Check out the mouseovers and all the sections that work (currently, News is the only non-functional section). Here is the test site …
There is one problem I’m having. In Internet Explorer (apparently on PCs and Macs), the gallery section is not working properly. I used a tutorial from this site to make centered pop-ups of each image in the gallery (tutorial link ) , but for some reason in IE, only the first three images actually make a pop-up window. In Netscape, all of them work.
So I’d like some feedback, and I need some help :q:
Hey looks good. I suggest centering the movie in the middle of the page… otherwise I like the transitions and whatnot. I’m still working on my first site myself
I like it, good job dude Here are some things I noticed (as always, these are very minor )
When biography is preloading, the numbers from 1 - 10 or something like that have a % next to it, the rest doesn’t
When I tested your music control, I couldn’t get the music to play again after I stopped it. Or maybe that’s just me being too impatient :beam: By the way, I like that volume slider you’ve got there, real nice
You might wanna increase the frame rate a bit, it was quite ‘framy’ on my pc.
Maybe you could make those notes when rollOvering fade out when the mouse rollsOut

Thanks
I plan on having it in a centered pop-up window when it is all finished, with an entry page and all that.

That’s about it. Very good work **
Thanks for the help … . I don’t know whats up with the % thing, but I will look into it. I think the music not playing again might have been impatience on your part, lol … it does take a while to reload the mp3 for some reason! I downloaded that whole music player thing from some other site … it works very well, and uses an xml playlist. I have the frame rate set to 33 … but it seems choppy to me sometimes too … i might increase it again across all the seperate swfs.
Making the notes fade out on mouseout … i dont even know how to do that … but i’ll try, cause it sounds cool

**- The white space around the main chunk is too plain.
You need to seamlessly put on your sharply squared flash movie into your background.
**
Thanks … but i just said in a previous post that when it is finished, that will be in a centered popup window with an entry page … so all you will see is the flash content in a window without toolbars and scrollbars, etc,
oh one more thing what was yer method of deloading the animations
(when they click on another button the de-animation plays unloading it and then loading the other animation) get what im trying to say?
Thanks everyone … check the site again, I’ve update with most of the changes that were suggested. I created an entrance page and everything too, so the flash movie pops up in a centered window … keep letting me know what you guys think.
pares101, I read some tutorials and some forums on here about transitions and creating full flash sites, and borrowed some code here and there … but basically the main swf loads a movie that has an intro marker and an outro marker … when it loads it plays the intro and stops, and when you unload it, it plays the outro and opens the next movie (for whatever you clicked on)
