I’ve been watching this list to see if anyone else encounters this, but it hasn’t so here goes–
I used Flash 8 on a Mac OSX 10.4.4 for about 3 months, pretty much daily, and one day, it just stopped working. There were several FLV’s that I processed, and many files with audio on them. My IT contact reinstalled the software, and it’s still not taking. We deleted all related files, (library and what not) and reinstalled again, and the application just won’t open past “new file”.
I’ve finally resorted to returning to Flash MX2004, and have another Mac running Flash 8 just so I can down-save old files-- but the video capabilities of Flash 8 is just not enough for me anymore.
Has anyone seen this happen before? Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Ritsu
PS: My officemate, who installed the Macromedia Suite at the same time had a similar experience with DREAMWEAVER 8. He doesn’t use Flash as often as I do.
