The Factory Interactive, Inc. located in Miami, FL is seeking a talented ActionScript Developer to build distributed media applications. You will be instrumental to the development of an integrated media social networking platform. You should have advanced experience building web-based applications and networked Flash applications – i.e. you’ve got extensive experience moving data back and forth from a database to your Flash applications using Flash Remoting, XML, etc… The successful candidate will also have an understanding of ActionScript optimization routines under heavy traffic conditions.
We are looking for either a SENIOR or MID-LEVEL ActionScript developer to join our project team. Compensation will be determined according to your experience and skills that you can effectively demonstrate. This is a contract job offering, telecommuting is acceptable.
Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of Flash and ActionScript, with experience using AS 2.0 / 3.0
- At least 3 years of programming experience
- PHP or ColdFusion MX, JavaScript, HTML, XML
- Media Playback in Flash (FLV, MP3, etc.)
- OOP programming
- Photoshop
Additional Desired Skills:
- Flash Remoting (AMFPHP, ColdFusion Services), Web Services
- Experience building desktop applications or distributed widgets using Flash tools (mProjector, Apollo)
- Video encoding optimization
- Additional programming and scripting languages
- Organized development and release-cycle approach
