Flash and CSS

For some reason flash is not reading a line of the css file that I have created. That line would be

block

. Everything else loads fine except for that part. Does anyone know why???

How do you link a CSS to a flash movie. Is it an external link od do u have to set it in the root of your movie? Can anyone teach a noob how to use css with flash?
