I have now found my new home! the wealth of flash information and well experienced forum users here is overwelming!
I am in the midst of developing a project management application for my company, and i was going to go the PHP/MySQL based application… but that seems boring i thought of developing a flash frontend that would give it more flare.
I was thinking of creating a flash standalone interface,(exe) that can be installed on any one of my fellow employee’s computer.
here is the dilema, Is it possible? I do need to interact with the php/mysql so my question would be how to do this.
since i would be calling php pages to store/retrieve data, So i guess my question is… when calling say a php page that displays let’s say projects would that .php page have to open to interact with it?
all the php pages would be on a remote server.
if im not making sense it might be because im recovering from surgery earlier today and the pain pills are quite potent.
Anyone here do anything similar? would this be the best route to go? or would embedding flash into a html be the best route?
Any comments on this matter would greatly be appreciated.
