Flash Banners

basically use flash to make educational animations so I don’t have to worry too much about the size of my movies or load times like you do for the web.

Now I want to make a banner animation for a website, so I now have to take into consideration the load time. I don’t want it to take to long for the movies to load. I know I have to streamline my animations but not sure how. I was thinking that since I want the animations to continuously play while you are on the page, my animation file is going to huge and will take to long to load.

The only solution that I have thought of so far is to ad a movie clip to each keyframe. The movie in keyframe 1 loads and plays, when finished it plays the movie in keyframe 2 and so on. Is this the correct way or am I going about this wrong? Also can I set it to load the movies in each keyframe while the other movies are playing so that the transitions between keyframes are seamless without having to wait for each movie to load separately? If I am remebering correctly from a flash class that I took years ago I’m thinking that I want to use levels for this. I’ve googled “using levels in flash” but came up short ???

Here is a url to a website that has a banner animation concept that I am talking about.

If you know of any tutorial sites or a book that I can purchase that have the answers to my above questions please save yourself some typing and I will be more than happy to purchase the book or follow the tutorial.

Thanks in advance for the help.
