Hi all, I was asked a good question recently to which I didn’t know the answer, I’m hoping someone out there can help me.
The question is if a website has flash buttons incorporated in the design can they be read by search engine robots, can the url’s on the flash buttons be tracked, if so is this done by publishing the buttons as HTML or by exporting as SWF’s
Hey thanks for replying,
I knew about this way but in dreamweaver you import the swf not the published HTML so when I view the source code it only shows that a swf is embeded and the published html code isn’t there.
Am I doing something wrong?
Sorry I can’t get my head together today, which htm do you mean, are you saying that the source code for the published html movie should be copied and pasted into my default page which features the swf.
just copy the stuff from the published page. the stuff before <object classid…, like above, and paste into your original .htm page where you are importing the .swf.
Yes, Sorry if I wasn’t clear,
say for example you have a html site with a flash section which has buttons on which link to url’s in your site, well the flash buttons are an imported swf as you can’t import the published html flash movie into Dreamweaver (at least not to my knowledge)
I don’t know what happened to your thread, was you going to say copy and paste the code from my published html movie into the source code of my default page with the embeded swf
