Hi everyone! Hows my Flash brothers and sisters?
Well I’m getting into Action Script finally and its not going too bad so I can’t complain. Here is what I would like to do. I would like to make a flash map with zoom in/out features and up, down, left and right arrows to move the map around (which will be masked to a certain size).
How would I go about scripting something like this? Are there any example files I could rip apart and analyse for myself.

dont have anything handy, although I would suggest you look into Flashkit.com, they have a bunch of stuff over there. As far as the general idea, you will mostly try to put your mask in a map something very high res, depending on how much you want to zoom in. There was another post on this site similar to that. You will, of course, want your navigation buttons for you pan/zoom, we can help you with that part. Again, someone just post it something about that a couple of days ago.
