Flash MX - Full flash sites question

Hi,
i have a question or two, and i was wondering if someone could explain the answer to me patiently and clearly, as i really don’t have a clue.

Please take a look at my picture here:

I want my movie to have stationary buttons (see bottom) and a stationary background (see main stage) but i want certain movies to be loaded on the “movie” stage when someone clicks a button.

I will have many movies that will be my “links”. So when someone clicks on ABOUT, the movie about.swf is loaded onto the movie stage.

Creating movies in flash is easy for me now, i have practiced a lot. I can create some fun effects. But i have NO knowledge of actionscripting at all.

I know that what i want to do involves action script. Could someone kindly help me?

I know i have to right-click my buttons and apply some action script for an external movie to load, but i don’t know what it is, what levels are, and how to position the loaded movie.

I would be very appreciative of some help, thanks.

I have read that tutorial and the transition tutorial too, but i don’t understand it very well.

I will try again and explain my specific problem in more detail :slight_smile:

you need to look at loadMovie.

e.g. for ‘about’ button


on (release) {
    loadMovieNum("about.swf", 1);
}
