Does anyone know a simple tutorial of creating an animated gif banner using flash mx?

Howdy…

Well… I am not sure if you can do that directly from FMX… I’d do this though… Create your banner in FMX, and use File - Export Movie and select GIF sequence to generate the sequence of GIF files and import those files into the program that creates Animated GIF…

Flash exports as the animated gif Cyan. But you have to make sure your entire movie is done on the main timeline… nothing must be inside movie clips and actions won’t work, it must all be tweens on the main timeline.

But be careful, if your animation contains too much detail it will export in very poor quality :-\

Seriously… :blush: I am thinking of taking the FMX developer exam soon and if I were to confronted with that exam, I would have failed it, right??? So, I guess I’ll be doing some more reading, but I am lazy… :sleep:

But… The exam is a bit hefty for me… Wanna here a funny story??? It was about a couple years back… I was so ambitious and anxious to do something with Flash… I heard that there was an Flash 5 exam from the Macromedia… I did register for the exam the next day relying on the fact that I was so filled with the energy… Well… I didn’t make it… I think the margin was 80 out of 100 to pass the exam and I scored 78… Darn it… If I were good at guessing game, I’d have passed that exam, but I didn’t… So… I am carefully thinking about taking MX one this time… Don’t know if I ever going to take one though cuz I hate exams… :cowboy:
