Hi,
I am quite new to Flash and I was recently given an assignment at my internship to create a news ticker that will receive data from an external xml source. I have searched google for tutorials and found myself coming back here regardless of how specific I made me search. And I am willing to learn to do this task rather than use a program that does it for me.
I understood almost everything posted in the tutorial here: http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/newsticker3.htm. The only issue I am having it figuring out how to make the text flow from left to right as a marquee animation instead of just appearing and disappearing.
The project size is 470x20 with a transparent background.
Any additional help would be appreciated. Thanks!
