I really don’t know how to explain this, so I’ll give an example. On a lot of flash sites I see nowadays, they have images with, say, a desk in it. A few seconds tick by and the desk’s edges are outlined by white lines. (i.e. http://www.wiscombdesign.com/site_index.html ) Does anyone know how to do this or where I can learn how? I think it’s a very neat effect.

well all that is: movie clips that are guided and masked. read about guided layers. then all you have to do is create an additional layer over your image and have a line move along whatever axis you want. it’s really kind of simple, the hard part is making it look as good as they did.
yup there a lots of threads about this either in drawindesign or flashmx sections…
anyway i dont know why, i cant stand the green on their website…
