I’m having trouble getting a swf file to show on my site in IE.

It show on other comps, and I recently discovered that when I enter adobes’ site it tells me that I need to install flash player 9 (which I actually have installed previously). So I install it again, but the adobe site still says that I haven’t got flash player!
Anyone heard of this issue?
