what would i use if i wanted to put a flash movie on a dvd? director? is there any free conversion software anyone might know about?
well you can either export the fla as a mpg and then proceed to make a vcd or dvd out of the animation it all depends on how big it is and you need a dvd authoring program like spruceup or sonic scenarist, and if you want to use all the effects flash can do like multiple mc and stuff you need to export the movie once and then open a new movie and import the swf you just exported because a mpg only exports the current timeline it doesnt export mcs so once youo do this export it into a mpg and then you can use tmpgenc to demultiplex the mpg so you can use it on the dvd authoring program you can find some good tutorials on how to author a dvd here http://www.dvdrhelp.com good luck if your run into trouble just post here or pm me i will be more than glad to help
