Flash Video... Better Compression there?

Hi

Nowadays…Flash Video is exploring.
Which is the better video compression for playing in Flash ?
I can see Video playing smoothly and clearly in some websites…how they are doing that ?

If export from 3DSMax
If export from Premiere… which format and codec we use ?

I heared about Sorenson Squeeze… is a good stuff ?
Please give me some detailed information about formats and codecs

and it would be a great help for me.

flv is the only format. It uses sorenson compression. Your best bet is to use something as uncompressed as possible but still managable and compress using Flash video tools or sorenson squeeze for flash.

However how do you guys publish and deliver your streams.

Sure as hell you cant aford macromedia server they want like 2 grand for it.

Are you using progressive downloads.(coz thats not streaming) If so how do you play them back smoothly? on what player? dont you have to enclude some code, length size etc to play, em?

Im trying to get in to the whole streaming flash finding it a lot more difficult than win media (streaming series 9) which I currently use.
