Hi everyone, first post, hopefully someone may have struggled through this. I’ve scoured some blogs, this one included, but I may have missed something somewhere.
As part of a SCORM eLearning course the client would like the option of sending a recap via email to themselves. They wanted a button to open up their mail client, outlook or what-have-you, and have all the content populated so all they had to do is specify where they’d like to send it. This was accomplished with a getURL mailTo with relative ease however some of the later modules in the course had a lot more text to be sent; more than outlook could handle (somewhere around the 2000 mark).
Now we already have nice PDF recap pages for print, does anyone know a way to open up the users mail client and automatically attach said PDF so once again all they really need to do is enter the target email and send away?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, even if it’s just telling me I’m trying to accomplish the impossible. For the record I’m comfortable using Actionscript and have some experience with Javascript but am not at all familiar with PHP so there may be an obvious solution down that path I’m just not familiar with.
