I’m a long time viewer, first time poster. I’ve learned a lot about flash through everybody here so thanks in advance.
I’m building a couple floating ads aka vokens for a client and I need a bit of clarification on the flash side of things.
I understand that for the most part, the flash aspect isn’t much different from developing a regular flash animation. Besides the fact that I’m building outside of the stage boundaries and using transparent backgrounds, it seems I’m not really responsible for much else as the media companies cover the actionscript.
i have spoken to the tech guy at the media company. He suggested that I build 3 swfs:
[LIST=1]
[]first one is empty and sized accordingly, it will house primary animation and the media company’s actionscript
[]primary animation, what the viewer sees upon entering
[*]swf to be loaded upon user interaction.[/LIST]Has anybody out there built and deployed these types of ads? I’d like to know about whats going on in the fla’s, if anything besides a regular flash animation. Right now everything seems a bit too easy.
