I had to use custom smartclips because they do not send veriables properly to certain databases.
you can try them out right now. Flash MX comes with a default set of components such as textField scrollbar and the combo box, of which are by themselves fairly difficult to do manually on your own (especially for the novice user). They’re just an easy way to get things done - pre-defined code and actions which are customizable and easy to use
