[FMX] Flash to Quicktime/AVI/MPEG

I’ve been working on a Flash cartoon for a while, and I’m finally finished. This has resulted in several questions if I can burn it out as a MPEG1 file. The problem now is that I made the entire animation inside one big movie clip. Quicktime goes totally bananas and just loops the start of the movie clip, ignoring the rest of the movie, while AVI doesn’t understand Jack **** about Movie Clips.
So why not copy frames and send it out as a quicktime then? That works. Yes… but the cartoon was made in 450x340, and I would like to export it out in 640x480, something which results in having to fix the size of all the frames.

So my question is this: Is there a plugin or a program to export out Flash films to Quicktime/AVI/MPEg which is a 100 times better than the one integrated in Flash?

I’ve not heard of a plugin to do what you want but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. :S

To export it as an avi or mpg you will have to have all the animation on the timeline. No movies on the timeline at all or it will only show the first frame.

As for making it bigger, you could use the Edit multiple frames button located at the bottom of the timeline. Then you can select all the frames and drag them to the new stage size.

Remember, if you have any jpg’s, png’s etc then you would have to re-import them at the new size so they don’t look all pixilated.

been thinking about using the “edit multiple frames” function. only problem is that it takles to long and everything gets all fuzzy and confusing.
Anyone know how the people behind Aheppy Three Freinds and Shawks have managed to make their DVD editions of the Flash series?

Dude, it takes seconds to do it using that function!

Not when you have 5000 frames and a ton of movieclips, graphics etc flying around… Not so hard to do, I know… but it’s so BORING!!!

Set movie clips to Graphics on one frame.
You can do an entire timeline at a time.
I do agree it is tedious :frowning:

I know… well… I’ll figure something out. But why… WHY?? Why can’t they make a good avi/quicktime exporter???

the flash guy at my school gave a presentation that had all this video in it (it was flash), and said he used camtasia studio:

don’t know if you go to a university or something that might have access to it. just a thought…
