I usually scan through my fonts in my font application ‘font expert’ to see what fonts are appropriate for the particular project i’am on. And in font expert i can create a work list where i can tick fonts i like and then have a list of the selected fonts in a list. What i would like to do is have a way to export this to illustrator as a template. Not a image but editable text.
For instance say i have 20 fonts selected with the wording FUNKYSITE.com previewed. I would like to export those 20 selected fonts into illustrator with the wording and font retained. Then i can work on these fonts as usual in illustrator.
At the current time i make that list in font expert and then i have to go in illustrator and search for that font again to mimic the list i have in font expert. It would save me a huge amount of time if i could just do it once using the font app.
and if your going to say just do it in illustrator, i’ll say this… illustrators font preview is not something i like to navigate through and there is so much scanning of fonts i can do before a usually stable illustrator just freezes and closes on me.
any ideas of other fonts apps/extentions or users of font expert that know of a feature like this would be a a major help.
