Fontaine Creative Logo

Hey guys I just wanted to give you a little preview of this logo and see what you guys think.

Looks nice. I like the fluid look of the “fountain”. I’m gonna take a guess its pronounced fountain and not like the name?

It’s my last name, but from what I’ve heard… it means fountain in French.

Thanks for commenting, since out of 27 people that saw it, only one cared to comment. :frowning:

I read it as foutaine btw, thats why I asked when I saw the fountain. Don’t feel bad I clicked on it 25 times, before posting. :).

It looks really good. :thumb:

I’m being nit-picky, but I don’t like the way the middle line (at x-height) of F goes up against the o, or the bottom of the t.

Try rounding off the bottom part of the line on the F to make it less square next to the round bits, and the t should not taper off so much, in my opinion.

Also, I’m not really a fan of the CREATIVE word being in all-caps or in that typeface. Personally, I’d try to go without it entirely.

Alright thanks Templarian and Jeff! Anyone else have any comments?

I don’t really like the font. It’s almost nice, but it looks odd.

+1. The **N **and T especially.

Mmmm… ■■■■. Thanks for everyone’s comments!

I like the shape, feels happy and fluid. It doesn’t quite interact with the font properly though. Feels like they mismatch a little bit. Also it’s weird for the First character (and also the only uppercase) to be next to a rounded shape and being extremely rigid while a middle character (n) feels more relaxed (while looking at the logo).

I think a compromise would result in a much better overall logo, if you used a font that’s generally a little bit more relaxed, but not quite as relaxed as the “n” and “t” in that current font.

Test Bryant.

I like the concept, but I would simplify the mark, change the type and lose the “creative” completely.

Nice start though, I like the colours you have there.

Thanks people!

+1 :thumb2:

I like it; it’s perfect in my opinion. :thumb: The Fontaine feels a little too condensed, but that fine with me.

I like it. I agree that the ‘n’ and the ‘t’ could use some light tweaking, though. And I don’t really think the treatment of “creative” works as well as the rest of it. It might look cool if “creative” was in a really organic, hand-written looking font. Maybe.

I really like it but I suck at designing

Thanks for all the suggestions guys… Maybe we will edit the logo for the website… but I ordered already the business cards with this logo. I’m in kind of a hurry. Moo cards FTW!

I am almost on the verge of hating the ‘t’ in the logo because that broken curve distracts from the name when the users sets eyes on the logo and then it looks like there was some kind of an error while encoding the image.

Not being offensive to you CriT, just saying it as I see it. I really dislike the ‘t’. It’s awful.

I love the rest of it though, the colors and the clean simplistic look.

I think you can even simplify the fountain splashes down more and meld them into each other to flow - instead of having gaps inbetween.

As far as type goes ’ nuff said from previous posts

Pasquale I love you.
