Fontfinder - new site

http://www.originalab.se/fontfinder

The “FontFinder”-site features:

Search the Font database by name/design, attribute/family, headline, text or pi-fonts.

Create and customize (body and headline text) extensive type-charts (PDF created on the fly) for more than 1000 fonts, in your own language.

Learn more about basic spacing and kerning by watching self-running Viewlets. (www.originalab.se topic typography)

If you don’t like it, you still can download free TT-fonts with extensive kerning tables.
:nerd:

Would be interesting with feedback, not just about the flash, but about the fonts and the type-chart application!
Cheerio

great site. i don’t think i’ve ever seen a font site using flash and html as its engine base. your fonts were good but i ldn’t help but notice pixel fonts aren’t featured. why??? pixel fonts are becoming increasingly popular with flash users and the majority of web developers.

Looked pretty good, but the left panel on the first ting that shows up is too high by about 2 pixels, and ya where are the pixel fonts?

The 2 pixel fault for the left panel is probably a browser problem? Netscape? Mac? Site optimesed for IE and MS. Will check it out. Thanks!

Ya sorry bout forgeting the specs
IE newest patches and all
Win 2KPro
Hope that helps,
Shawn

Thank you Shawn, will investigate.
About “pixel fonts”. The primary target market for the site is the printing/publishing industry and server based automatic (print)document creation and customisation from a web-interface. The final production document will always be a printed document or an electronic document in PDF-format. That’s why we do cover pixel-fonts. (In fact I am not even familiar with “pixel-fonts” so I will have to investigate (again) ) Could anyone direct me to a good section/site about pixel-fonts?
