In the end of the contest, Kirupa and a group of impartial judges will decide on the Top 15 entries.
So who is this impartial group?I mean, is it all the mods?
I think its the sponsors (prize givers).
well, it’ll be the alex shroeder (the sponsor for zoomify), and a few friends. It’ll be individuals who did not submit a footer for the contest (have to keep it fair) and it should also be members who do not know us all too well so the judging will be based purely on the quality of the footer instead of how well they know us.
If any of you who did not participate is interested, we can always have more judges

You are in - there never really was much of an application. If we can get a few from just within our mod-community, there really won’t be a need for any outside judges with the exception of Alex S.

Yeah, it’s not too difficult - you simply pick the 25 footers you like and hopefully the other judges will do the same. After all has been said and done, the 15 that make their appearance the most among all the judges will have their chance at a poll open to everyone else.
The judges help pick the best entries from which others will vote to pick the winner

"quality of the footer " means what? according to which standards? there were no guidelines, restrictions, html/jpg/swf or whatever, so how is it going to compare? just esthetics?
(just askin’, mine was just for fun anyway, just discoverd that thing…)

That all depends on the judges’ own tastes eyezberg. As long as the footer follows the guidlines (dimensions, file size, etc.), it is up to the judges to decide which footer they like and which will work out best.
