I make a form and all that stuff, then in settings…i get it to send to my email address. I enter it in then press ok. I get a message saying this:
This form is being created on a Disk-Based Web or the FrontPage Server extensions have not been configured to send e-mail. Please direct your system administrator or Internet Service Provider to the instructions in “Setting up E-mail Options In Windows” or “Setting up E-mail Options on UNIX” in the server extensions resource kit. If you do not have the Server Extensions Resource Kit, you can find it at http://www.microsoft.com/frontpage/wwp/serk
Would you like to remove the E-mail Recipient?
YES NO
I don’t understand this properly, but Iv had a look on microsoft, iv had a look in the resource kit. Iv done everything I can and nothing puts itt right. I am quite coinfused by this, and if I cannot fix this problem then i will be very upset.
I cannot get the HTML for it, because it doesn’t let me. I dont understand why no-one else gets this error. Can you get me the HTML code for a basic form, and it sending to an email address, then maybe If I use that, it could work. I think that FrontPage itself is stopping it from working. Maybe If I get rid of the bit of HTML at the top of all FrontPage pages which says about it being something to do with frontpage, then it may let me.
Can anyone else advice me with help for this, please!
My advice to you would be get “formmail” it handles your mail like you want it to all you have to do is specify who you want to send it to. I dont have a link but I have attached a zip of all that you will need, you just have to change any links to your site.
I know this doesnt directly help you but it looks like you got it figured out from alex so I just wanted to offer another alternative.
