Frame Numbering along Continuous Scenes

Hi all,

just another newbie in flash. I read the tutorials and the using flash manuals and started ambitiously to create my first animation.

My problem is the following: I have two scenes in the movie. The first has about 20 frames. According to the user manual, the second scene should start numbering frames from number 21.
However, it starts at 1.

Is this just a view thing? I mean in essence does Flash consider frame 1 of scene 2 to be frame 21 in the movie while it shows it as frame 1 in the timeline of the scene?

No Scenes aren’t a continuation of a timeline, it is a whole new timeline.

So Frame 1 of Scene 2 is Frame 1 of Scene 2. If you don’t declare a stop() action at the end of Scene 1, then your movie will keep playing past it, and go straight to scene two, which will be right after your Scene 1 with no delay.

If I am making any sense, I am kind of out of it…lol.
