I still dial 411 They give me directions to get my *** around the city when I need it. I like to take walks on random paths. I’ll probably be molested some day, but when I end up at some random street, it’s good to know I can call to figure out how the hell to get home.
You can call them and tell them they gave you the wrong number. They’ll give you the right number, hopefully, and you won’t be charged extra.
Oh and you can make it so that the people don’t charge you by asking the directory lady or man to just give you the number rather than use the automated and transfer. That’s free 411 too
the voice recognition was really cool it worked perfectly… I called it a second time on speaker phone to show my dad, and it said all lines were busy, so… i try again… this time it was a real person, weird. lol she’s like “city and state please” and I’m like “see dad, isn’t that cool!” and she says “sir, city or state please”… and I’m like oh shoot sry
it didnt ask me if I wanted to connect though… it just repeated the number twice, then said goodbye.
It’s not that tough to setup a 411 op. The pay for the folks is dirt cheap, and there probably is some advertising. If there isn’t, i’m sure they must have some sort of deal with the phone companys or something to reduce their load. Must be something.

Sorry to bore you with ancient information bro. Did you know that each morning I when I wake up, I punch myself ten to twelve times in the face because i’m not you?
Man do I hate automated voice recognition systems. It NEVER gives me what I want because of my heavy Boston accent. It either gives me the wrong number or transfers me to a rep and I have to repeat myself again.
