Wondering…
If I create a game, using a lot of freeware sound files (mp3, wav) found around the www, the original authors of those freeware files retain their ownership, so how do I go about protecting my game from being “abused.” Do I possess copyright of only the original portions of the work? Can I use the creative commons license? This is what I would want and not want:
Want:
–Attribution: Credit for the work
Not Want:
–Allow distribution of the work (well, maybe)
–No Derivatives of the work by other people (including changes to original work or works built upon my work).
–If distribution allowed, no derivatives, no commercial usage, no distribution without credit to author (which would be on the game itself, so basically not allowing people to remove my name from it).
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
