I tried to import a gif into my flash document. When viewing the gif in flash it looks fine. But when I view the gif in the swf movie it becomes distorted. Does anyone know how I can fix this.

Have you checked your quality settings? On defualt the setting is set to 50, try bumping it up to 90. Just go to File > Publish Settings, click on the Flash tab and you’ll see a JPEG Quality slider.
I’ve actually got it set at 100.
